The project to transition from Volunteer Solutions to HandsOn Connect gave our Volunteer Center the opportunity to employ strategies related to pro-bono services and skills-based volunteering. We successfully used a combination of paid staff and volunteers to accomplish our goals. The following is a list of the additional support that we garnered to help with the project:

The Volunteer Center is seeking applicants who are experienced adults, age 50+, to help nonprofit organizations use our new online volunteer recruitment matching database (a Salesforce platform), which is a national model for matching volunteers to a meaningful volunteer opportunity.  Be a part of a team implementing new technology that will transform our community!

The Grand Rapids Community Foundation continues to spark innovation among local nonprofit organizations by encouraging them to engage the 50+ population in community volunteer efforts. Organization have the opportunity to receive grants up to $5,000 by developing volunteer projects designed to tap into the skill sets of experienced adults and recruiting Encore Teams.
